What she’s thinking: Isn’t it crazy how Burn is one of the few songs in Hamilton without any background voices. It’s just Eliza singing about how Alexander hurt her. This song gives me chills and it is always playing in the back of my mind. I can really feel the pain of Eliza through Phillipa Soo’s voice. She is so amazing. Everything about this musical is so amazing. Lin is a musical genius and this song just shows the heart of the show. Is the Hamilton title only about Alexander or is it for Eliza also?
